There is a new show coming out in the Fall on Fox that I’m very excited about! Its called Glee. It follows Will Scheuster as he tries to revive a High School Glee club despite the opposition from almost everyone else in the school. I’ve embedded the Pilot episode from Hulu. It should be available for another month… check it out! I will be writing reviews once the season actually starts.

Just read some really exciting news, they may have inadvertently created a vaccine for HIV that is edible raw and could be grown anywhere in the world. Its a plant in which they placed the same protein that is found in all HIV viruses. This allows the body to create antibodies to fight off HIV as it enters the body. They have successfully tested it in mice so far. How exciting!

2008 MECA Website Snapshot
About a year ago, I designed a website for MECA. It was one of my earliest attempts at using wordpress to be a full web page. However, at the time, wordpress did not include nearly as much functionality as it does now. So, I ended up creating a html framework and then slapping wordpress in there using an iframe. This was a poor construction, and is due for an upgrade now that wordpress includes much more flexibility and functionality to become a total-site solution.

2008-09 MECA Yearbook Download
For the second year in a row, I designed and put together the MECA Yearbook. It went much smoother this year after I had last year under my belt. I made quite a few improvements, including more a thinner and more versatile framework for each page. While the cover (by request) did not change much, I did make some improvements on the coloring and included a gradient rather than pure bars.
